 My name is Anna and I am 18 years old.  That's me above, in the blue with the dark hair, with my friend Madison at Prom this year.  I live in North Texas and have just finished high school (hallelujah!). In the Fall I will be going to Texas A&M University in College Station and studying Mechanical Engineering.

Whoop!

I've always loved to read & write and decided to start a blog as something to do the summer after high school. "Mountains & Heaps" is a new project that I'm embarking on in the hopes that it will keep me at least sort of sane when I start college and start being bombarded with physics, math, and the realities of life.I plan to chronicle my life, have book, movie, and TV reviews, and anything else I feel like. 

I have been known to watch a little too much television and buy way too many books.  I get excited when I come across an new book or magazine to take apart and use in a collage. I love purple, pasta, and getting mail. I hate moths, dragonflies, and embarrassing moments on TV. Well, I actually love those embarrassing moments but sometimes they become too awkward that I have to leave or fast forward the program.

I am too awkward for my own good, but my life would be too dull without it. As I already said, I love stories and I believe that they have the power to change the world starting with the people who read them.
